Seems like big Yao Ming (that's Yao, not Yo) is having a kid. I never knew anything about his private life - and that's because he's a Rocket. I don't like the Rockets. At all.
But Yao is going to be a father. You can read the whole story here. It's kind of bizarre actually. It seems that both Yao and his wife were the 'offspring' of two other professional athletes. And Yao and his wife were married at the request of the government in China. I believe she's a center for the womens team over there. I'm sure their child will be sooo hadsome.
And people over there are already hoping that this kid is the future of Chinese basketball. Man, they better hope this kid is a boy. That's a ton of pressure. How would you like to come into the world with a billion Chinese saying you're the Chosen One of future basketball? Tough gig. Not even Anakin Skywalker had to deal with so much pressure.
And the Chinese are saying that they'll allow Yao and his wife two kids. Yeah right. I guarantee if the first two come out girls, they'll let em have eight or nine till that boy comes along. I just found this whole story very odd. It's like some breeding program over there. Everything is too methodical. But I bet they don't give that baby any Chinese baby formula. Way too risky. They executed people for making ordinary children sick with tainted formula. Could you imagine what would happen if baby Yao went down? Complete family trees would be cut down, man.
I guess we'll see what 2028 has to bring. And you know by that time we'll have bionic knees and stuff, so this kid won't have any of the problems his pop had.
