Seriously, his loss is going to be $147,200 for each game he misses now that he's been suspended by the NBA. That's a lot of cash. I wonder how funny he thinks that is.
It does make one think though about a person who makes that much money in 48 minutes. I don't even really feel sorry for him at this point. If I could make that much money for a few hours of my time, I'd be on my best behavior. There's no question.
Hell, if you need a gun, hire somebody for personal protection. It's not like you couldn't afford to pay some body a decent wage to do that job. Especially making that kind of cabbage.
To revise my stock watch of Arenas from earlier it might be the time to sell off some of your Arenas PC. I did a search on ebay and actually found it suprising that many of the auctions had multiple bids, even base cards and high-numbered autos. At this point, I'd say cash in on the name in the news and say 'good riddance'.
He's not going to come out of this the superstar that he once was. I just don't see it happening. Such a shame when so much talent is wasted.

You know, I try not to let the personal issues of athletes affect my enjoyment of the game, but this whole thing is driving me nuts. The audicity of this guy ( and I'm sure he's not the only one), to walk into an arena with a gun when he can more than afford security is beyond irresponsibe. A couple of days ago they had league mandated heightened security at the Blazer game. If one of the fans was caught with a weapon it would have meant jail time. Arenas just laughs this whole issue off as no big deal, but IS a big deal. You were playing with guns like a thug in a locker room, wich is supposed to be a safe haven for your teammates. You've pissed off the league, the fans and your teammates, what about this situation don't you get? They changed the name of the team from the Bullets to the Wizards to shed the image of violence associated with D.C. and the "hip-hop gangsta" culture of the NBA in the '90s. If David Stern want to keep a hold of the control he has over his players and the NBA image, he will put Arenas out on his ass. Is the ABA still around? Asshole.
That was suppose to be audacity in the first sentence.
