In the end, isn't it all just a lottery?

So, on my way to the LCS today (which didn't go well - I have to find a new LCS), I stopped to put some gas in the car.  And when I got to the counter of the station, I saw the rolls of scratch-ticket lottery offerings.  And what do I see?  A Trail Blazer scratch-it.  Yup.  Brought to you by the Oregon Lottery.  What will they think of next?

Here's what I bought three of:

Now, is it really much different buying a lottery ticket than it is buying a box for the "hits".  No.  I'm not a hit chaser, but there was no way I was going to pass this up.  So I did buy three (six dollars worth if you're keeping score) and ended up winning $2.  Actually my return was greater than most sales of game-used cards.

The only problem with the card is the action shot.  There isn't any.  Oh well, I still got to stare at the logo while scratching away feverishly.

And isn't it odd that the NBA allowed their logo to be on the lottery ticket?  I mean, they've spent the better part of the last few years distancing themselves from gambling.  Makes you think.

The scratch off area looks like a Murad checklist. I'm going to have to pick up a few tonight and scratch them during the win against the Lakers tonight.

I might pick a couple up if they have them here in southern oregon. And scratch them while listening to the blazers beat the lakers :D

the NBA keeps getting closer and closer to gambling. Tey have the only commisioner who publically talks about legalizing gambling, not to mention the NBA and Las Vegas relationship.
