Nicolas Batum has surpassed Martell Webster as the starting Forward in the Blazers lineup. 'Bout time coach figured this whole thing out. Obviously talent won out over whatever Nate had envisioned.
Batum is playing well. All Nic needs is a defined role, and a sense of direction and he's lethal. He's a bit like a gun like that. Just point and shoot and it's over.
Just an FYI to all the readers out there. It's on. We're making the playoffs.

I'm routing for the Blazers. I do think they will make the playoffs and I def agree. I like Batum in that small forward spot. Do you see the Trailblazers as players in the great free agent class/offseason this year. Not only are the max guys out there like LeBron and Wade, but there are some nice "B" level free agents too. What do you think?
I'm still sticking by my prediction that I made when Oden went down so as not to disappoint myself that the Blazers won't make the playoffs. I'd love to be proven wrong, of course.
I'm definitely a fan of Batum back in the starting lineup. You never know what you're going to get from Marty and I'd rather have that unknown quantity coming off the bench.
2 points, 0 assists, 1 rebound what a nice line. I hope if I ever get shot it is with a gun like that.
Madding 9or any one else), will Oden ever be a serviceable center in the Association, i.e. healthy? I guess I would like to know what some people think in "The Rose City". I'm always routing for him cause he seems like a quality individual (at least he comes across like that on TV) and i would love to see the Blazers have a defensive and rebounding force on their back line.
Hoopography,
I am HOPING that Oden can become what we will need him to be.
It's still up in the air. It's never his muscles that get hurt, it's always his bones. And you just can't make his bones any stronger.
But, it's possible that his injuries were just flukes. We have to wait and see.
