It's not quite MLB, but the NBA All-Star weekend is still pretty good

I love the NBA All-Star break.  I love the events, the skill and most of all, the pace.  The All-Star weekend is broken into great little manageable chunks, that it doesn't even really feel like it's any kind of a chore to catch it all.

I watched Durant win the HORSE contest.  That contest could be so much better if they made it more official and less comical with the hosts getting involved.  I'd love to watch a real competetive game of pro-level HORSE without Charles Barkley taking up air-time.

The ShootOut and the Point Guard challenges were ok, but not special.  But they were brief, so it was doable.  And the 3-Point shooting and Dunk Contests are always fun to watch.  This year's dunk contest was ruined by not having any props though.  It wasn't nearly to the level it was at in years past.

And tomorrow is the All-Star game.  Now, baseball still has the best All-Star weekend.  The Home Run Derby and the game itself are great to watch.  And, yes, it does mean something to win the game.  The NBA All-Star game is still fun though.  Although, I'm not sure I like them doing it on Valentines Day.  C'mon NBA.  How does a husband do the dinner and a movie and catch the game?

Either way, I think it should be a good game.  I may have to DVR it.  Though that's not bad, I can just fast forward through commercials and commentary.

Don't forget to enter the contest.

If I had to choose, I'd pick the West by 8, Durant the MVP and a total score of 230.  But that's just me.  Enter the contest below and fill out your pick there.
