Observations on the All-Star game at the half

First of all, Dallas Stadium is just crazy.  Jerry Jones is a lot of things, and now we can call him a genius as well.  Building that thing spoke to the American motto, "Bigger is better."  And it is in this case.  He can use that building for everything - and he probably will.

The NFL needs to take notes on how to put on a halftime show.  For reals.  I can't believe we had to sit through The Who this year.  Remember Paul McCartney?  Really, Janet Jackson is long gone.  It's ok to put on contemporary music again.

I don't care what anybody else says, Shakira is the MVP of the game.  Great googly moogly.  If you saw it, you know.  If you didn't see it, give it an hour or two and youtube that show.

The All-Star game really isn't about defense at all.  I keep waiting for a team to come out with some D just to throw a curveball, but it never happens.  Oh well.
