I admit, I'm a basketball honk. But I hate college basketball regular season. Can't stand it. Don't watch much of it. And I don't have a team.
But I love me some March Madness. There is no greater 'one and done' style tournament out there.
Now, in college sports I follow players, not teams. I follow players because they'll be future NBA stars. But as far as rooting for a team, I could really care less. Actually, I take that back. I love to root against certain teams.
I love to root against Duke. And UNC. Pretty much I'm tired of ESPN jamming that rivalry down my throat like it's something I should really care about. Hello, I'm not from North Carolina. Never plan on going to North Carolina. Enough already. And it's spelled Sheshefski. Really if one guy butchered the English language rules for a name worse than Brett Favre - it's coach K.
But I digress. I love the Cinderella teams. This year, my home state of Montana is being represented in the big Dance. So that's fun. I put them beating New Mexico on my bracket. Do they have a chance? I don't know. Name the starting five on New Mexico from memory. If you can't - does it really matter that I picked a number 14 seed to beat a 3 seed?
But that's really the only nonsense pick on my bracket. I of course have Kansas winning it all. And I have them beating Baylor in the final game. Yeah that's right - Baylor. I went a bit crazy this year.
I only fill out one bracket a year. Because in the spirit of the tournament itself, I think that 'one and done' is a pretty appropriate way to approach a bracket.
But if you're not like me - and you want to pick another bracket, I'm in a public group league on ESPN.com called IAmATrailBlazersFan. You can signup there if you want. I'm under Basketball Card Blog as my username there too.

I went with Cuse
I just got in. I'm using the same bracket that I used in my group at work. That's a four hundred dollar pot if I can take it. Beers will definitely be on me!
I've got Kentucky beating Ohio St. In the final.
^%$^...didnt get a chance...
