Like I said a couple of posts ago, I'm a horse racing fan. Today was one of the main qualifiers for the Kentucky Derby. This race, the Wood Memorial took place at the Aqueduct Race Track - one of my favorites to watch. I really wanted to be home today to watch this race, but I do have to live in the real world - so I went to work instead. But thanks to this media world we live in, I got home and was able to watch the race on youtube in minutes.
After this race, Eskendereya will be one of the favorites going into the Derby. If you've not heard of this horse, you have now. There is another horse not featured here named Conveyance. I think Conveyance is the other real contender going into the Derby. But after this race, the 3 horse makes a good case.
I was going for the 4 horse, Schoolyard Dreams. But he was outclassed. He comes from the same stable as Musket Man. So he's got a good team around him. But this Eskendereya was just too good today. Watch and enjoy. You don't have to gamble to enjoy a great race like this. It's a thing of beauty.
See? Told ya that was a good horse. Can't wait for the Derby to roll around.
