The Rally Beard - and other quirks from fandom

I am growing the Rally Beard.  The Blazers plight is worthy of the Rally Beard.  Here's the rules.  I grow a beard until the Blazers are officially out of the Playoffs.

I was thinking about it, and the last time I shaved was the day before Game 4 - so there was some stubble going on there for the game.  And after seeing B Roy come back, and seeing Batum stick up for himself and watching LaMarcus actually go to the basket, I decided to let the caveman out.

And that's just what fans do.  I can only image what shape I'll be in when the World Cup finally rolls around.

Also, I have a cigar that I won't light until Portland wins a Playoff series.  Hopefully that will be this year.  I don't want that cigar to get too stale - but it sure as hell hasn't seen a humidor in a while either.

But yet, I don't think that my Rally Beard is anywhere close to what those folks in OKC are doing.  Have you seen those people.  Game 3 the entire stadium was wearing the same blue shirt.  And they all wore the same white shirt for Game 4.  That's the kind of fan support a team needs.  And it really made me think that we, as Americans, can't agree on anything.  But for the playoffs, we'll make sure we all match.  Politics should be more like sports, we'd get more done.

Blazers/Suns will just be a monster game.  I'm actually nervous - and it's four hours until tipoff.
