I've got a friend. A Chilean friend. And this is his idol. This is his version of Nicolas Batum.
I was hoping that this card would get here before Chile played Brazil. But it arrived the day that Chile lost 0-3 to Brazil instead. And I'm sure my buddy's crushed. I haven't had the heart to call him yet. I know he's taking it hard. I have to wonder if he'll even come to work tomorrow.
Either way, we have the same misery to share - our teams are out. It's just as well. It would've been unbearable to have one of our teams advance while the other stayed behind. I have a feeling I'm going to have to have a moment with my friend that trancends sports. The Chilean team is his passion. He hated Brazilian football enough as it was - now it's just going to go to a whole other level.
But he swears to me that this Suazo is the real deal. So just an FYI for you budding soccer fans out there. He plays in the Spanish Premier League for Real Zaragoza. It's not the EPL, but I just can't throw the EPL's superior class in my friend's face for at least another month.

You're an Everton fan, right???
What is their intentions with Tim Howard now that they've paid big bucks to transfer Jan Mucha onto the squad? They aren't going to pay Mucha that much cash to sit on the bench.... so is Howard bench bound? Are they releasing him???
I don't know what is going to happen. Things started to happen fast after the WC loss. All of a sudden Donovan was on Man City's radar and Howard has competition.
I'll remain faithful though.
In Moyes we trust.
