Murad Quest continues - with J. Kidd

Awesome card here.  The card is numbered 20/51 - so it's the silver variation.  And I got it for a great price - $4.99 shipped.  I'm telling you, if you branch out far enough into various card sales/auction sites, you can build just about any set on a budget.  Because for every person out there looking to get a deal, there's a dealer out there willing to give a deal to make the "ends meet" on his end.  He could've listed this card for $10 and watched it sit there for a month with no takers.  But instead, he posted it for $5 dollars shipped and made a sale.  I thank sellers with common sense.

This is card number 33 of the 50 relics in the set.  I'm getting so close to the relic set that I can taste it.  Please, if you have any Murad, check my needs list and see if you have something you'd like to trade for.  I really want to get the Murad relics portion done before the summer is out.

Interesting note:  Murad is the only product that I've seen that comes close to giving accurate information on the origens of the jersey piece.  This jersey piece is stated on the back of the card as having come from a Nets jersey.  Some are All-Star pieces.  Few are 'event-worn'.  But kudos for at least giving me a heads up on the memorabilia.

Great card of a great player for a great price. Kidd is so undervalued. $4.99 was a nice deal.

What card and auction sites do you use to finish your sets? I'm trying to finish Philadelphia Football and need all the help I can get.

Also, how about that US National Team!!!

Andrew,

I use ebay principally to build my sets. This is important because for the time being - I use only ebay to sell my cards (it reaches the widest group of buyers). So when possible, I use ebay to bolster my rating to potential sellers.

Secondly, for set building, I use www.sportlots.com. The site is great for rounding off certain parts of your set for a good price. And if you know how to look for the same seller in any given search category, it can be insanely cheap.

Third, I check www.checkoutmycard.com. That's where I got this card. The cards on this site can be really expensive. But once in a while, you can find a great deal from a seller who just wants to dump some cards. The bonus of this site is that all cards have pictures and you know exactly what you're getting.

Fourth, and this is a last resort, I go to the beckett.com marketplace. Pretty much, LCS store owners list their cards on the beckett.com marketplace. Some owners aren't locked into "book value" and you can find some deals if you know what you're looking for.

So between the four sources I can usually find what I'm looking for.

Good luck on building the Philly set.

Andrew,

Sorry, the third option was www.checkoutmycards.com
