I hate to give into hype. I absolutely hate it. But this Strasburg kid has more hype than any player has had this decade - and yet I gave in. And I'm glad I did.
His pro-career may be nothing at all. It could be riddled with injury or mediocrity. But it could also be the career breaks the mold. The scouts say he's that good. And if his first inning of work were any indication - they could be right.
Kudos to the MLB network for broadcasting the event. I'm going to continue to watch - even though I know it's a Pirates vs. Nationals game.
It's going to be another busy sports day. NBA Finals coming up in a couple of hours, Mariners are taking on Texas with Hernandez on the mound and Strasburg is making his monumental debut. I may have to go warm up the DVR.

I like when hype pays off. For a game at least. Baseball needs this guy.
