Rich Cho is named Blazers new GM

Well, at least the Blazers have a GM.  Rich Cho has been an assistant GM at OKC.  It seems like he was the Thunder's residnet salary cap man.  So in hiring Cho, it seems that the Blazers are replacing Pritchard and former salary cap guru Tom Penn in one move.  Hmmm.  Somebody must've been using their head on that one.

Either way, it's a monumental move as Cho becomes the NBA's first GM of Asian decent (he was born in Myanmar).  Come to think of it, he may be the first in any major American sport.  I can't think of any others off the top of my head, though I could be wrong.

The true mark of his ability will come down to just one thing though -
keeping this guy on the squad:

Just keep Batum in Portland, Cho.  And you and I will be ok.  That is all.

Sorry G, I think Cho said his first order of business was to trade Batum to the Knicks for Eddie Curry. That seems fair, the Knicks get a talented young player and you guys would get a lazy, not very talented, over paid street clothes bench warmer.

What do think about having Batum in a trade for Chris Paul?

Asian Pride! Salary cap man... huh... do you think that's why they hired an Asian? Well... I'm good at math... my dad is good at math... and most of my Asian friends are good at math... so maybe the stereotype is correct.

Just don't let him drive the team bus! Just kidding... no racial!
