Batum is back in town!

Training camp starts tomorrow for the Trail Blazers.  It's about time.  Everton, God love them, have got me depressed lately - and nothing sounds better than having the Blazers start to get this thing in gear again.

Today was media day, and Batum is back and looking refreshed.  He had a busy summer.  He played in the French team and traveled quite a bit.  He was in Asia and even made it to Dubai for vacation.  I'm glad he's enjoying what the NBA salary can provide for him.  It's still such a change of pace from the Jail Blazer era.  Instead of guys causing thug trouble in the off season, we got Batum being a world traveler and Brandon Roy hanging out with family (rap video cameo aside).  It's just a good day all around.  Now if we can stay healthy this training camp - we'll be doing real well, won't we?

I've got my eye on a new Bowman refractor on ebay.  I think I may have to snatch it up to commemorate the day.
