But is everybody ok with it being Fall? I don't know that I am yet. So here's a list of pros and cons to help us figure this whole thing out...
PRO - The summer heat has passed.
CON - The new, Miami Heat are on the way. Boy I bet I'll be tired of hearing about them by the time December hits.
CON - Who's tired of seeing Adam Schefter, Mark Schlereth, Mel Kiper and Boomer hit on the same talking points day after day after day? Damnit I'm glad I paid for extra sports packages so as to avoid these talking heads. It's almost as bad as political talk now. Almost.

PRO - I am this close to getting to see Nicolas Batum suit up in a Blazers jersey once again.
CON - Thanks Panini, Upper Deck and Topps for still not producing a SINGLE jersey card of my favorite player. Diaw, Parker, Noah and Beaubois have jersey cards. Guess we can't have too many Frenchmen with relic cards out there. That would mess with the quota.

PRO - No big scandal about swine flu or Spanish flu or SARS or any other flu that gets marked as being from a country full of brown people. If I had to guess, I'd say the next flu will probably be the Venezuelan Red flu - or something equally sinister that will allow our media to hype fear and our government to push an agenda. But hey, it hasn't happened yet!
CON- Really who cares what the media will come up with later in the winter? Right now I'm sitting here with a sore throat and achy muscles. Seriously. Not having a good time right now. But hey, that's what I get for putting off the flu shot again.

I love the summer, but I love the fall even more. The problem is, Buffalo winters are not cool. I like being outside, running, swimming, hoopin' it up and the fall is the best time because the temp is great!!! I don't do any winter activities other than shovel snow. Damn I love Buffalo, but hate the winter.
P.S. I hate the South Bitch team too!!!
I'm definitely a spring & fall person... luckily here in the Bay Area it only reaches triple digits a few times a year. However... when it does, I'm moanin' & groanin'.
I actually prefer rain over heat... so winter is alright with me too. Plus during the winter there's snowboarding... and during the spring & fall there's golf.
PS... I'm an anti-Heat person too. You know things are bad when this Laker fan is pulling for the Celtics or anyone else to win the East. As long as I can remember... I don't think I've ever cheered for the Celtics.
Kudos on the ESPN Talk - I am getting physically sick when I see Schefter - his tone and delivery make me want to throw up - with 9.5 percent unemployment how does he have a job
You know what's most annoying about it? Everytime the ticker bar scrolls along the bottom of ESPN's news bar it ends with giving credit to the reporter who broke the story.
For example.....
Michael Vick will start for Kolb ESPN's Adam Schefter reports...
Really? And then he's on live ESPN all morning? It's just a bit much. And he's so damn smug with himself that it really does make you turn the channel when he comes on.
While I'm not a fan of the Heat, I'm excited to see if they can do what everyone thinks they can. We'll see.
I'm definitely a fall/winter guy. Bring on the rain, I love it.
