Well, I guess that's a bit of a stretch. There is a particular Nicolas Batum fan who I find to be incredibly stupid. Want proof?
Check out this ebay auction that just ended....
This auction wasn't for a card. It wasn't for a jersey. It was for a bobblehead. Yup, a run of the mill, bank promotion, simple bobblehead.
Although I admit, I hadn't seen a bobblehead of Batum ever listed before, so I figured I'd bid on it and try to snag me a bobblehead of his to go along with the card collection for around $20. You can imagine my shock when this auction ended for over $80.
All I can assume is that the buyer must be a French fan actually living in France.
And the kicker is that there are some great Batum items up for auction right now...but the bobblehead will out pace them all in the price department this week.
But you have to admit, Batum is quietly cementing his position in the league - so a little recogntion doesn't hurt. Oh by the way, tonight against Cleveland Batum went for 21 points and 7 boards while hitting 5 straight 3's. Suck on that losing record Cleveland.
COMPLETE SIDE NOT HERE....but why does Cleveland even have sports teams anymore? Did they build their arenas and stadiums over Indian burial grounds or something? Talk about a black hole for sports.

I think the Batum bobble is pretty new, so it's not like they are going to be super rare. I thought I saw an ad for it last week. You'll get one for $20.

Alright, jk. That's some serious dough for the bobble head though. Good luck getting one of those. It looks cool. Not sure if it looks $80 cool.
Oh Cleveland. I still love the Browns, mostly for the pieces and the fact that someone has to be optimistic about them. The Cavs do have many many dark days ahead of them in this post-"the decision" world.
But hey...at least Jac...Progressive Field is nice!
