Everton vs. Aston Villa today - bring it

Finally we get another week of EPL action.  I can't understand how we only get three weeks of EPL action and then take a ton of time off for FIFA dates.  Of course I could just be bitter because the US Squad didn't actually win their FIFA dates.  But mostly I'm just bitter because I didn't get to see Everton play.

And now, finally I get to see the boys in blue - only without one of my favorite players, Mikel Arteta.  Losing Arteta was hard.  Inside, I was hurt about the whole thing.  I may have actually choked up a bit at the news that he left the squad for Arsenal.  Arsenal?  Of all the teams?  Perhaps people think we've forgotten how badly Arsenal drubbed us in our opener a couple of years back.  That memory still stands.

So this week, we take our frustrations against Aston Villa.  And Villa are rather like Everton, no superstars, but always seem to fit comfortably in the middle of the pack.  Villa have played three games and got 5 points, Everton have played 2 and have 3 points for their efforts.

It's still not sure who's going to be in Everton's shrinking starting squad - players drop like flies at our training grounds it seems, not so unlike the Blazers I love.  But I'll be here, beer in hand, rooting them on.  I'll post more later on, along with my vlog footage of me going ape shit over a game a half a world away.
