Thoughts on a Sunday - 9/18/11 edition
- How strange is it that there's no preseason basketball news going on right now. Blows my mind. But it also makes me think that hockey is going to make a killing this year. Seriously. I'll start to watch hockey if the NBA can't figure their shit out.
- In Batum news, France lost today to a Spain team led by Rudy Fernandez. Batum played wonderfully in the EuroBasket championships, but they just came up short. I'm actually glad that I didn't get many of the games over here, it probably would've hurt my heart.
- I feel like I'm on the cusp of finishing my Murad. Is it crazy that I'm starting to think about building just the base set of 2012 Heritage?
- I'm in love with fall. This season is just what my summer-weary mind needed. Just the other day, I had an Octoberfest beer and it immediately brought to mind cool crisp fall days, falling leaves, jack-o-lanterns and staying cozy in the chill of the evening. And then I shed a tear. Yeah, that's how I roll.
- Everton won against Wigan 3-1. If you're adventurous, you can find my video on Obsessive Rec and see how a true fan does it. I love my team. I think it shows.

I have a definite feeling I'll be watching way more Stars hockey than Mavs basketball this fall. I guess that will mean the Mavs are champs 2 years in a row though, right?
