Yeah, I'm one of the Early Birds. I went and did it. I've turned my back on the bickering in the NBA and have fully embraced the NHL....with my wallet.
And this is what people thought would happen isn't it? If the NBA didn't come to our TV's, we'd find something else to do. And I have. And I couldn't be happier. Leagues love nothing more than new fans. And I'm feeling some NHL love right now.
I've latched on pretty hard to the Penguins. And me, being who I am, I'll watch all 82 of their games, including their run into the playoffs - because I've seen enough to know that there isn't any way they aren't making a good run this year.
I still really miss Nic Batum nailing threes from behind the arc. I really miss LaMarcus turning into a man-child and dominating this last year. But the NBA as a whole can kiss my ass. You can't continually put your fans on the back burner and expect us to just take it. I've found a new game to watch.
And I'm totally going to make the Fantasy Hockey playoffs. I've got staying power.

my pick for the Cup, whomever survives between Washington and the Pens... Fleury is the key.
And I'm going to watch it every step of the way. I've also watched quite a bit of the West now too. LA looks good, but I don't think that San Jose will stay down for long.
I'm pumped that I have my winter sport all in place now.
