November, as I mentioned in yesterday's post, is National Novel Writing Month (NaNo WriMo to those in the know). Basically, you challenge yourself to write a 50,000 word novel in the month of November. It sounds like a blast. But I don't think that I'll participate this year. Sure, I want to write a novel, but I'm going to go at a better pace than that. Plus, I want quality work from myself.
But I wanted to do something to challenge myself instead. So I'm making an open challenge to myself, and to any other bloggers out there. I'm hereby creating National Blog Writing Month - it's kind of blatant copycatting, but oh well. I'm going to have a good time with it.
So here's my challenge: Write 15,000 words on each of my blogs in the month of November - so I'll be writing 30,000 words this next month. It's only 500 word per day average per blog - but that can be quite a bit. I'll be leaving my running word count at the bottom of every post so we can all keep track. I'll have to really challenge myself to do some serious writing this month, but I'm ready.
If it sounds like something you'd be into, give it a try - but leave a comment so that we know who to check in on. I'm going to use this as an opportunity to really grow my blogs again.
Until tomorrow then!

I like it, I'm usually pretty long winded anyhow, so I'll give it a try...
$30 a week habit for those who do not know me (and there are a few)
Glad to have somebody else in the cause, lol. To blogging and being long-winded!
I'm going to give it a try--I'm posting every day anyway so a little expansion will be required
Hey G... count me in. I just wrote a post that I'll update with a word count right now.
BTW... added that geisha girl picture you requested ;-)
I can take a run at this, I guess, though November is not shaping up to be a good month for writing. My first post was 980, so that's a decent start.
