First off, this blog is for a couple of things. Primarily, it's for the fun of it. This is a hobby, after all. And I enjoy it to the fullest. But secondly, this blog is to provide opinion - because our hobby, unlike many other simpler hobbies, isn't without a good deal of controversy and strife. Anybody who tells you different is drinking their own bath water.
My blog started out as the Basketball Card Blog. But when I started this blog, there was no exclusivity contracts between the sports leagues and the card manufacturers. So making a basketball card site was as easy to do as any baseball site. But then Panini came and gobbled the whole thing up and took away any diversity I would have going forward. Good for Panini, I guess. Bad for me.
This is now the 5th or 6th time I've had to rewrite a page like this for this site. I'm going to just focus on having fun with this for now. If I decide to go beyond 'just for fun' again, I'll have to edit this page again.
